Our new house in progress....

Randell and I have taken the next step in our wonderful life together....we are buying a house and it is in the process of being built. Here are a few pictures on the progress as of today. I will post more from the very beginning to current soon!
Just a little glimpse of our first home being built...

My nephews first visit to Auburn!

This Saturday was a beautiful sunny day! Not as warm as I would have liked but never the less beautiful and filled with a visit from my adorable little nephew and my sister-in-law. Ellis and Amanda came to spend the day and my parents came to visit as well. We had a great day spending time with Ellis and Amanda at the house and then taking Ellis out into Auburn to eat at Mellow Mushroom. He slept while we ate of course but I could see his love for Auburn! :) Too bad we couldn't keep them for longer!!
All in all a great weekend with the family!

Ellis Owen Carter

My beautiful Nephew Ellis Owen Carter born on January 8, 2010

Weddings, Weddings and more Weddings

Last year was definitely our year of weddings. Starting with our own on May 16th and ended in San Antonio,Texas at my good friend Chelsea's wedding.
Here is a little collaboration of all of the weddings we had the opportunity to be at last year.....

To think that 2010 might be a little slower wedding season is definitely wrong! :)
The excitement of wedding season begins a little earlier this year starting in April.
This year of my friend from camp is getting married in St. Simons Island, my good friend Caroline in Charleston, SC, My best friend Rachel in Birmingham, and I have two friends, Brian and Erin in Illinois getting married back to back weekends. So this will definitely be the year of traveling!!

Let the weddings begin..... :)

Inspirations

This is my Grandfather James Ellis he is a true inspiration in my life.
On January 7,2010 he turned 90 years old. After 90 years you know he has some of the best stories to tell about his life and what he has been through. I have never seen anyone that has worked harder(besides my mom of course, she gets it from him). Today at 90 years old unable to walk and spends three days a week at dialysis he continues to try to work. On a warm sunny day you can find him out on his four wheeler or tractor riding around trying to find something to do.

It truly takes a hero though to take care of someone with his will power and determination and that hero is my grandmother. Many people never realize what the cargivers go through but if you ask her it is what she is here to do. At 88 years old she spends her days taking care of her husband and doing everything she can to keep going.

I love all of my grandparents very dear and I always try to remember the importance it is to spend time with all of them. :)

I am off to Vienna Austria today and I cannot wait! I am so excited not to be in 100 degree heat melting but most of all I cannot wait to see the beautiful sites and have a wonderful time with family and friends.
We will leave from the Atlanta Airport tonight and I will be leaving Auburn around 1pm when our family friends pick me up! I will leave behind my phone, my car and most important I have to leave behind Randell. : (
When I return I will be back with lots of pictures and I am sure lots of great stories.

Today I am rejoicing for my cousin Dayne. His health is improving and it seems he is taking small steps to recovery. He is still in the hospital and has a ways to go but I believe that the Lord is with him and his family and will get them through this hard time and help him to heal. He will be in our thoughts and prayers as we are on our trip and as soon as we return I will get the chance to go and see him. As he will tell you it is a trip that is long overdue! It has been too long since the last time I saw him. I am so blessed to have family like him and of course I thank the Lord everyday for all of my family!

Well off I go to finish packing!
