The 2010 Holidays

Last year was a great year and it is hard to believe that 2010 has come and gone. In 2010 we gained a nephew, bought a house, celebrated our first year of marriage, my parents moved to Auburn, and the Lord blessed us in so many ways.

I will now update you on our life over the Holidays through pictures.....

Halloween Weekend 2010

This year we spent our Halloween weekend on the farm at my grandparents in Brundidge,AL. We made a trip Saturday to the annual Peanut Butter Festival in Brundidge. We didn't make it in time for the parade but we walked around all of the tents and had a good time buying a few things. Saturday night we watched the Auburn vs. Ole Miss game at my parents barn. We grilled out and watched the game out by the fire. It was a great game and always fun to watch football and spend time with the family! It was fun to get to spend some time with my grandparents this weekend even though we ran out of time to visit my other grandparents.

As for Halloween day we came back from Brundidge later in the afternoon and had a nice afternoon spreading pine straw and other fun yard work....then came the trick-or-treaters!! I love to hand out candy! It is so much fun getting the candy ready and the anticipation of waiting for the door bell to ring. We had lots of little ones stop by in all sorts of costumes from spider man, batman, a lady bug, princess and my favorite Speedy Boy who ran up to the door in his cape. :)

Where did September go.......

Tomorrow will be the first Friday of October and I feel like just a few days ago it was August and I was busy at work planning for our United Way Kick-Off and then it went off with a bang and poof here comes October. All I can say is what a successful United Way of Lee County Kick-Off we had and I continue to be busy with this year's campaign doing what I love the most!

Football season has come and oh boy it is already wearing me out...but oh goodness it has been EXCITING and we have loved getting to see our friends and having them spend the weekends with us. My family being from down south in Pike County, AL and myself being a graduate of Troy Univeristy the begining of the Troy Trojans football season has hurt a little in such close games but I am still holding on to my hopes for another SunBelt Championship! From the very begining of my life I grew up coming to Auburn Games you could pretty much say I have been an Auburn Fan since birth and although I have no degrees from Auburn University (only my brothers and husband).. I still get those same chills sitting in the stands at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The excitement of this season has really made for some great weekends. WAR EAGLE & GO TROY TROJANS!! :)

The best part of this football season has been having the opportunity to see my sweet precious nephew Ellis every weekend...

We are blessed!

Wedding Celebrations....

This weekend I will travel to New Orleans with my friends to celebrate my friend Rachel for her Bachelorette party! Bachelorette parties are always my favorite parts about weddings because its a mini vacation with just the girls!! It give us a chance to get together, have fun and celebrate a special time in our friends lives. As Randell always says my friends and I always go to the best places and do the most fun things for Bachelorette Parties!
Thats the best part about being women we know how to plan the best vacations and be prepared! :)
Here's to my best friend RACHEL to a weekend that you will never forget and to the most special time in your life as you marry a great man and a great friend! To one of the best friends I could ask for...here's to your weekend..I hope you have the time of your life!
I love you Rachel!! :)

Do you ever sit and think about the important people in your lives, your family, best friends, those people in your lives that in some way or another have shaped you to be who you are today. It is not always those closest to you..maybe its an aquaintance, a co-worker, a friend from church,a neighbor, or the guy that fixed your air conditioner last week! :)
If you think about all of the amazing people that you have come across in your life and those that have done so much for you...Who are you thankful for?
I have a lot of wonderful people in my life.

It all begins with my family who has been there for me, taught me, learned with me, helped me, picked me up when I fell, loved me and have been my rock my entire life.
My friends who may be near and far but always are there to listen, to laugh with me, cry with me, learn with me, teach me, and have fun with me.
Then theres those in my life that have in some way or another helped me, taught me, lended a shoulder to lean on.
In some way or another all of those that I have had the privilige of crossing path's with in my almost 25 years of my life.. I thank you!!! Thank you for helping me to be who I am today but most of all I thank God for giving me these almost 25 years of my life.

These pictures here on my blog are memories that I can look at and Thank God for the people in my life, not just the people in the pictures but for everyone in my life!

April/ May Weddings

As many of you know Wedding Season hits us hard. Lately we usually average at least 5weddings a year and this year we have 6 planned so far. We love weddings because we get to celebrate with friends and witness such an amazing time in our friends lives.

In April my friend from camp Kathryn Whitworth got married in St. Simons and I got to have a girls weekend with all of my best camp friends. It was a beautiful wedding and a great weekend spending time at the beach and getting to see the girls! : )

The next wedding we celebrated the weekend of Randell's birthday. It was a great relaxing weekend. We traveled to Jackson,Alabama a first for me! We celebrated Kirby and Beth's wedding and it was beautiful. Randell was one of Kirby's groomsmen.

Next stop on the wedding trail is Caroline and Aaron's wedding in Charleston,South Carolina!!
